Background:

Built in the mid-1960s, the school serves College Town and Sandhurst. It has very strong links with the community, notably the Royal Military Academy from which 20% of pupils originate. The school is located in 'very pleasant' grounds with 'excellent' facilities including pitches, hard court basketball area, nature trail, natural habitat pond, quiet green areas, vegetable plot, shaded seating and an adventurous activity area. Recent additions to the building include a library and a pupil kitchen. An 'outstanding broad and balanced' curriculum is offered with 'excellent' extra-curricular provision. Music and sport are 'strong' and the choir regularly sings in the community. Over the last three years the school has been the Bracknell Forest Primary School champions at athletics, softball cricket and tag rugby. Swimming is taught in Year 4. Residential trips are organised to a working farm in the New Forest in Year 5 and to an outdoor adventurous activity centre in Dorset in Year 6. Charities recently supported by pupils include Guide Dogs, NSPCC and Children in Need. After-school care is provided in partnership with the local secondary school. The school has achieved Investor in People status.
