Blessed Hugh Faringdon Catholic School is a secondary school and sixth form for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is 11 to 18. It was founded in 1958. The school occupies a pleasant site in West Reading. The school facilitates a variety of facilities including a sports hall, technology suites, science laboratories and a library block. As a Catholic school, emphasis is placed upon religious education and the school is committed to the Gospel values. All sixth form students are also active in the local community and there is a chaplaincy team, which helps to organise youth events, including retreats. The school provides a wide range of sports activities including: football, rugby, hockey, netball, athletics, badminton, cross-country, soccer and tennis. The school aims to provide a supportive, caring environment in which all may feel safe and secure as a valued member of a Christian community.
