Background:

Brimpton Church of England Primary School for children aged four to 11 years serves the villages of Brimpton, Midgham, Crookham Common and the surrounding area. Founded over 140 years ago as a Parochial School on land given by the Earl of Falmouth, the school was rebuilt and enlarged in 1861. By 1900 the school had become a national school and in the late 1950s it was extended to provide the present accommodation. There are three classrooms, a hall and a library area. In addition to the playground, there is a large playing field, which enjoys beautiful panoramic views across the valley and the River Enborne. Children at the school enjoy an exceptional number and range of stimulating activities, which contribute to a broad and enjoyable education. Extra-curricular activities and clubs available include drama club, sporting activities, French club, recorder club, talks and concerts provided by visitors to the school and trips to places of interest. The school has strong links with the Parish Church and the local community. The school aims to provide the spiritual, moral, cultural and social development of each individual child within a caring Christian environment.
