Background:

Langleywood School is a community school, which strives to offer an important and integral role within the local and wider community. The school is keen to share its facilities with the community and improve the opportunities for learning for all. The main school building is used for English, mathematics, French, Spanish, art and ICT. The technology suite provides spacious rooms for the teaching of resistant materials, textiles, engineering, graphics and new food technology room. There are six science laboratories and all science lessons are taught in this block. The school has extensive grounds and facilities covering 16 acres of playing fields and a large sports hall open to the local community. The school offers a wide selection of extra-curricular activities such as: sports clubs and competitive fixtures against other schools, art, photography, drama, ICT, dance, languages, ceramics and textiles. Homework clubs, examination revision classes and booster sessions are also offered. At Langleywood School, the individual is nurtured within a strong community environment and equal importance is placed on academic achievement alongside the qualities of the individual.
