Situated next to A4 in Langley, in area of mixed housing; built in 1964, set in attractive and spacious grounds, with tennis court, soccer pitch, adventure area, quiet area, pond and three playgrounds. Facilities include two libraries, information technology and communications suite, music suite, domestic science room and self-contained nursery. Offers specialist provision across curriculum. Expectations are high; staff committed to their own learning and development. Parents encouraged to be partners in children's education; school benefits from 'huge' parental support; all parents automatically members of Parent-Teacher Association, which continually raises money for improvements to the school; also organises social events for parents, family fun days and trips to pantomimes, theatre, swimming and ice-skating. After-school activities have included archery, sailing, fishing amd horse-riding. Homework club takes place after school; 'soccer week' held in holidays.
