St Finian's Catholic Primary School is a voluntary aided school situated in beautiful grounds in the village of Cold Ash. It serves children in the parish of Thatcham and surrounding villages. Its aim is to provide a caring and nurturing environment where every child has an opportunity to maximise its potential. It believes its Christian ethos is central to its success. The school is the parish school of Our Lady of the Assumption church in Thatcham. It also serves St Mary's at Woolhampton, served by the Benedictine monks at Douai.
