John Walter MD of Bearwood formally opened Crowthorne Church of England Primary School on the 18th January 1875. The school is situated within the village of Crowthorne on a site that offers many diverse learning environments. It is a Voluntary Controlled School and has close links with St. John's Church of England Parish Church in the village. The school is a primary school for boys and girls for the age range of the pupils from four to 11. In 2000 the school officially opened its Millennium garden, which was designed with the help of the children. The garden is based around a tree theme with branches off the main path.
