Background:
Reading Girls' School is a secondary school and sixth form for girls. The age range of the pupils is 11 to 18. The school has an extensive ICT network enabling access to the internet, with each girl having their own e-mail address. The skills used in ICT enable girls to make full use of the latest software to enhance their learning and contribute to their coursework. The school library is well stocked and well used. The physical education department offers clubs and activities every lunchtime, which complement the physical education curriculum. In the autumn and spring term the activities available are hockey, netball, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, dance, trampoline, badminton, soccer and health-related fitness. The school aims to challenge and motivate girls to achieve their full potential both academically and socially.
