The Emmbrook School is a large mixed comprehensive school in Wokingham with 1160 students in the 11 to 18 age range. The Emmbrook School aims to pursue the highest standards by promoting and valuing individual achievement. The school encourages students to become members of the many clubs and societies, which meet at break times or after school. Many opportunities exist for students to use its purpose-built drama studio with its computer-operated lighting system. A wide variety of productions are performed in the course of the school year. The music department organises many flourishing extra-curricular activities enabling students to enjoy music and attain levels of excellence on their chosen instruments. At The Emmbrook School its aim through its physical education programme to promote positive attitudes towards involvement in physical activity and it caters for a wide range of interests and abilities: athletics, badminton, cricket, cross-country running, dance, football, rugby, gymnastics, hockey, netball, rounders, tennis, volleyball, table tennis, archery, basketball, orienteering, golf, self defence.
