Background:
Situated on a 28-acre semi rural site, the school was opened in 1971 in purpose-built accommodation. They are proud of their well stocked, well used library and sixth form library. A strong tradition of drama exists at the school promoted through drama workshops and visits to theatres in London. Pupils have also found success in sport, at county level in basketball and badminton. The school has a variety of after-school activities including music, chess, bridge, art, technology and astronomy. The school aims to provide an orderly and calm working environment in which there are clearly agreed rules governing expected behaviour and consistently applied sanctions if they are broken.
