Background:
St Margaret Clitherow Catholic School was originally opened in 1976. It is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is four to 11. Each class year has its own classroom, most of which are equipped with at least two computers, plus a wide range of audio and visual aids. The school also boasts a large central hall, separate Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 libraries and an eight computer ICT suite. It enjoys exceptionally spacious and beautifully landscaped grounds, two full-sized playing fields, a large playground with play apparatus and extensive woodland. A number of clubs are available to the children before, during and after-school. These include football, gardening, athletics, cross-country, crafts, French and LAMDA. The school aims to promote an environment where pupils feel secure and valued.
