Background:
Since the school was founded in 1875, a number of extensions have been added around its central courtyard, most recently in 1999. It offers 'light and spacious' accommodation with views over the Thames Valley, and 'excellent' outdoor play and games facilities. In addition to the National Curriculum, French is taught from the age of five. The small school is 'very much a part of the local community', with links to the local church. The community has funded the construction of numerous improvements to school grounds, including seating for children and a fitness trail. An after-school club runs from Tuesday to Friday.
